Ram Sainathuni who is based in San Diego, California pens his experience of walking from Thana to Shirdi by himself without any group.
I’d like to start by noting that, although my 4th Padayatra took place in December 2018, it’s only now, in January 2024, that I’m sharing my experience. Initially, I documented my journey right after its completion, but unfortunately, a hard disk crash on my laptop led to the loss of all the data, including my […]
My First Experience from Mumbai to Shirdi Padayatra with Sai Palanquin. Om Sai Ram! I, Ranjan Gunjal, would like to share my experience of first ever Mumbai-Shirdi Padayatra which took place in December 2015. “Om Sai Ram” were the first letters which I learnt when I started my first Shirdi Padyatra. Sai devotees used to […]
About 15 – 17 years back I was at my sister’s in laws place located in Igatpuri for some reason. They run a hotel in Igatpuri and I found that @5 am in morning they were making there hotel ready with enough snacks and eateries when I enquired what’s so special about the day my […]
My wish was fulfilled last year by Saibaba and so this year I agreed to go on Padayatra to Shirdi on the fulfillment of my wish.
Sai Charan Padayatri Mandal provided all participants with a T. Shirt, Cap, waist Pouch, and a small torch. This itself would have costed the mandal at least 300 bucks. Over and above this, Mandal was to provide participants with breakfast, lunch, dinner, water, tea/coffee for the entire 8 days….so I thought the fees of Rs. 400/person was very affordable one.
Sunil Barve’s experience of his Mumbai to Shirdi Padayatra.
Since I have already given a very detailed write-up about my first padayatra to Shirdi experience last year, I am not going to repeat most of it this time as nothing changed much in comparison to last year, I will just add a couple of points which I feel should be interesting enough for the readers.
Here is an interesting account from Mr. Ramesh Babu of Hyderabad who had gone on a padayatra from Hyderabad to Shirdi. He was not a part of any organized padayatra to Shirdi. He and his friend went all the way to Shirdi on foot with no special arrangements made for their journey. This is a story worth reading…
I went to Shirdi by walk (padayatra) two times. That was a very great yatra in my life. My family…… I have two lovely children named Anju and Sai. These children was really gift of Sai to me
Usually I would walk only 100 meters as I have bike. Whatever I needed I used my bike only. But during Shirdi padayatra, I really walked 650 kms with the help of great Sai mantram “Om Sai Sri Sai Jaya Jaya Sai.” I can never forget that experience.
650 km long Padayatra to Shirdi from Hyderabad done 9 times by Ravindranath, a member of Bhajan team of Punjagutta Sai Baba temple at Hyderabad.
This experience details of each and every day of the Padayatra. I am sure this will be helpful to many devotees who intend to do such a Yatra or it may motivate few others to go on such Yatra..
